several years of intermittent work and starvation as a screenwriter,
Alexandre O. Philippe turned to directing. His first film, Chick Flick
(The Miracle Mike Story), screened at the 2003 Cannes Film Market, the
2003 Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (South Korea), the
2003 Fantastisk Film Festival in Lund, Sweden, and was the only film

EARTHLINGS is his second Picture Show, and his third is currently in
pre-production.
Philippe is also the Director of the newly-formed Denver Screenwriting
Center (a partnership between Lighthouse Writers, Inc. and the Denver
Film Society). He has conducted Dramatic Writing seminars for numerous

screenwriting workshop in our 25-year history.”

San Francisco and New York. He holds a Masters Degree in Dramatic Writing
from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he
won the Founder’s Day Award and was class valedictorian.
